THE TOP 10 INDIVIDUAL FUNDRAISERS SO FAR
A rewarding experience
Along with the wonderful feeling that comes supporting people living with Parkinson’s, this year A Walk in the Park has some excellent rewards for registered participants who reach fundraising targets before 5pm on Friday 24th August 2018.
Raise $25 or more and you’ll receive a commemorative 10th Anniversary A Walk in the Park t-shirt to wear with pride on the day.
Raise $75 or more as an individual and you’ll receive a commemorative 10th Anniversary A Walk in the Park beanie!
Part of a team? Why not make it your goal to ensure every team member gets a t-shirt, or better still, raise enough to have your team wearing a t-shirt on the day!
Raise over $1,000 and in recognition of your incredible contribution you’ll receive a VIP invitation to join us in the Parkinson’s Victoria Marquee to enjoy an array of privileges, including:
- A special commemorative 10th Anniversary A Walk in the Park 2018 t-shirt
- VIP access to the head of the start line
- An opportunity to meet Parkinson’s Victoria board members, A Walk in the Park 2018 ambassadors and others in the 1K Club.
How to start fundraising
When you register for A Walk in the Park, a personal supporter page is automatically generated.
To start fundraising, when you register, simply follow the prompts to activate your supporter page, upload a profile photo, and write a few words about why you’re walking to support people with Parkinson’s.
To help spread the word about your fundraising target – and drive donations – it’s a great idea to share your fundraising page with family, friends and colleagues via email and social media.
Some fun fundraising tips
Supporters who upload a profile picture raise up to 10 times more than those who don’t – so if you haven’t already, upload one to your supporter page today.
Use your page to explain why people should donate. Fundraisers who personalise their supporter page raise 74% more funds!
Ways to raise funds for your page can range from organising a team, to hosting an event or even making items to sell! But whatever you do, have fun doing it!
