JUDY AND IAN’S PARKINSON’S STORY 2019

As you may or may not know, Judy was diagnosed with Parkinson’s 20 years ago at the age of 53. Ever since, we have been fighting an ongoing battle to keep our lives together and to make Jude’s life as comfortable and active as possible. Symptoms gradually increased until we came to the decision with the expert help and guidance from our Neurologist to undertake Deep Brain Stimulation Surgery (DBS) in 2016.
This indeed was a brave and courageous decision by Jude, but after some initial setbacks things have improved. Gone are the tremors and uncontrollable dyskinesia, but balance and speech are still a constant challenge.
Jude has continued to be as active and positive as possible and has joined Rotary in Rosebud doing good for others both locally and around the world.
We are again looking to our Parkinson’s walk for our 11th year on August 18th. Jude has just commenced her fund raising campaign to try and top her average $10,000.00 raised in past years.
Totalling over $100,000.00 to contribute to vital research for a cure for this awful complaint.
Please support her cause once again by walking with us, or donating, as indeed will our family and friends.
We would like to particularly like to thank all our friends and family who have contributed previously, by either donating or walking with us
